The love affair with camping started when I was 5 years old, and I would go down to Merry Beach on the South Coast with my parents. We started in an old tent and one year we were flooded out by torrential rain. So my Dad and My Uncles purchased 3 caravans and set them up as permanent onsite vans. So year on year we would go there every holiday and fish, dive, surf and meet a lot of great people, some of those people are still friends today. These memories are my fondest as a child and will stay with me forever.
After years of being local in the Shoalhaven region, we often get asked to recommend caravan parks within our service area. As we are based in Ulladulla, we are ideally situated 2-2.5 hours from Sydney and Canberra. As we are truly blessed with great parks from Kiama to Narooma, it is difficult to recommend one or the other as every client has different needs and tastes. These are some of the best camping spots and our personal favourites.
Bendalong – Holiday Haven
Location: 1 Waratah St, Bendalong NSW 2539

We have been going to Bendalong for the last 40 years, it hasn’t changed all that much and has always been a great family park and location. Whether it’s enjoying the sun and resting on Washer Women’s beach watching the children swim or surfing Bendalong beach and or, watching the fishing boats come in on Boat Harbour beach. Bendalong really does have it all!
Lake Congola – Ingenia Holiday Park
Location: 1 Norman St, Lake Conjola NSW 2539

This Park is a resort style caravan park with a great lake frontage. This park has made the best camping spots list as it has great facilities including, mini water park and pool, tennis court, children’s play equipment and jumping pillow and a café/coffee shop onsite. This park is extremely child friendly and is a great place for the family to relax. The local bowling club/ bistro is situated across the road, what more could you want!
Lake Congola -Holiday Haven
Location: Lake Conjola Entrance Rd, Lake Conjola
Price: From $42 per night

This Park is situated down near the mouth of Lake Conjola and has a large lake frontage ideal for anchoring boats and Jet Skis on the shore close to the park sites and has access to Conjola beach and Green Island which is a great surf spot.
Burrill Lake – Big 4 Bungalow Park
Location: 123 Princes Hwy, Burrill Lake NSW 2539

This Park is situated on the beautiful Burrill Lake. This has a great lake frontage and modern facilities including putt-putt golf, swimming pool, children play areas, Jetties and boat ramps making it popular for all water sports and recreation. This location is only 3 minutes to Ulladulla giving you all the benefits you would expect in a great coastal town.
Murramarrang – NRMA Parks and Resorts
Location: Mill Beach, Banyandah St, South Durras
Price: From $35 per night

This park is a true resort in South Durras closer to Batemans Bay Township. This resort has it all including restaurants, pool bar, children play equipment and over the busy periods you can enjoy live music.
